Cliff Lake Outposts

Outpost Camp is on the northwestern end of Cliff Lake. It is accessible by vehicle down a private five-mile gravel access road or by boat from the Headquarters at Lost Bay Resort.

Outpost Camp’s fascinating history dates back to the 1920’s when the only way in was thirty plus miles by boat with numerous portages, or by horse and sled over the frozen lakes in the winter. Many of the original log buildings are still present; they provide the ambiance that will make your stay at Outpost Camp so special.

Outpost Camp is an outpost, there is no staff present, and it is located far from civilization in an area of Cliff Lake that sees few fishermen. A stay at Outpost Camp is as close as you can get to a wilderness “fly in” at a fraction of the cost.

The camp is equipped with central showers and toilets and a remote, but quiet, generator provides electric power.
