Lost Bay Resort Fall Black Bear Hunts

Cliff Lake Resorts offers semi-guided, baited fall black bear hunts with over 120,000 acres of Bear Management Area (BMA). We maintain 20 baited sites beginning several weeks prior to the arrival of our first hunting party – as predicated by weather and natural feeding conditions. Most of our sites have double stands, trail cameras, and 55 gallon barrels. All your bait will always be provided for the hunt, and depending on your hunting package you will be guided to the bait stands. We cap our weekly hunts for maximum success rates for all our hunters.

Staff tracks and records daily bear activity at each stand in order to give our hunters the best chance at a successful hunt, and with an indoor cleaning facility at Lost Bay our hunter’s experience comfort, large freezer space, and running water. Bringing an ATV or 4WD vehicles is not a necessity but can be accommodated.

We also offer different rate packages for our hunters, allowing for each group to pick the best package for their needs.

“Traditional Package”

Our basic package includes housekeeping lodging for 6 nights at our modern Lost Bay Resort. We will try to accommodate hunters in the same group with stands relatively close to one another, as this package does not include transportation to and from the stands. Staff will show you where the stands are the first day. Staff will continue to bait throughout the week during regular bait schedule. Once an animal is harvested staff will assist in tracking and removal back to Lost Bay, where hunters are responsible for their own skinning and quartering. Fishing boat available at additional rate.

“Luxury Package”

Our luxury package includes housekeeping lodging for 6 nights in our executive timber frame rental. The timber frame is two stories with a wraparound deck, personal dock, two full bathrooms with five queen beds and one twin, and is set off from camp for private surroundings. This package is exclusive to your group, requiring a minimum of four hunters, where you will be the only hunters in camp. Staff will continue to bait for hunters on the regular bait schedule and staff will transport hunters to their stands. This package also includes a full fishing package, boat provided for every two hunters with all live bait and gas included (rental boats only – pro-rated for personal boats). Hunters are responsible for their own skinning and quartering.

Fall Moose Hunts

Our seven day, or more if needed, hunt will appeal to the seasoned hunter that has done the calling, tracking, field dressing, and processing of their animal. Individuals are responsible for skinning and cutting of the animal. Staff is available for assistance in moving and hanging upon request.

Lost Bay Resort moose hunts include housekeeping cabin(s). If requested, a boat and motor will be provided – gas is included. An ATV or 4WD vehicle is recommended if you wish to access areas not adjacent to the lake. Ontario law requires registration and insurance from your home state, along with a helmet.

Lost Bay Resort is equipped with 1 rifle Bull Moose tag. ** Filled until further notice. **

A gun hunting license from your home state is required to get a moose license in Ontario. Hunter orange is also required –camouflage orange is not acceptable in Ontario. Please familiarize yourself with all regulations.
